White Water Canoe Trip in Canada Description
|
This more advanced canoe trip is a safe and fun introduction to white water river travel in the Canadian wilderness.
After training at Camp Echo for a few days, we'll embark on a wild adventure down the Spanish River in Ontario, Canada.
Beginning with lake-to-lake travel, the trip allows the participant to perfect his or her paddling skills before facing exciting and challenging rapids on the river.
The remote location of the Spanish River offers a true taste of backcountry wilderness camping with ample and diverse wildlife.
Running this trip early in the summer increases the chances of higher water levels and enhanced rapids.
Bring your fishing rod (if you like to fish) and your sense of adventure.
Level 3 trips are intermediate hiking, climbing, backpacking, biking, canoeing, and kayaking trips that encourage growth as a leader.
Wilderness instruction in all Level 2 skills, plus campsite organization, stove maintenance, additional cooking duties, river crossing, and additional leave no trace skills.
High ropes challenges and additional opportunities for leadership help to develop and extend personal growth and enable you to gain skills similar to those taught in Echo's L.I.T. and C.I.T. programs.
