Pathfinders Description
Under the guidance of counselors who enjoy working with young campers and are specially trained to meet their needs, Pathfinders get extra support during their camp stay. While in the Pathfinders program, boys and girls have the opportunity to grow both as individuals and as members of their peer group. Cabin groups live, work, and play together, enjoying activities as a group while learning to respect each other's differences. Each camper also embarks on an individual journey in three camptivity classes that change each week and two hours of free choice activities daily.

From morning "reflections" to bedtime "taps talks" campers grow in sprit, mind, and body, learning YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in a supportive setting. Evening activities bring all cabin groups together to enjoy campfires and large-group games. Two-week sessions include all-camp team activities mid-session that stress participation and cooperation over winning.

Entering third graders may attend only Session 1. The oldest Pathfinders may be placed in the youngest Main Camp cabins if there are more Pathfinders than Pathfinder cabins.
