Cabin Assignments
Caring ... Honesty ... Respect ... Responsibility

General Information
Main Camp cabins house 11 campers, 2 counselors, and a counselor-in-training. Our goal is to create cabin groupings that not only allow campers to be with friends, but also encourage campers to forge new friendships with campers from different schools and towns.

Campers identify up to two friends they would like to bunk with on the Cabin Request Form. (Many campers come to camp on their own, list no requests, and leave camp with ten new friends -- so don't worry!) If the requests listed are mutual and the campers are in the same grade or the same age we will place a group of up to three campers together. If campers are in different grades and different ages, we can't guarantee the request. Campers can also list additional preferences on this form. Groups of four friends can often be placed in the same cabin but this simply can't be guaranteed; we need the flexibility to split groups of four up (two and two) so we can balance all the cabins with 11 campers each. Groups of five or more campers who already know each other will almost always be split up.

Cabin requests can't be made at the time of registration. The Cabin Request Form is part of the Parent Information Packet mailed in March or April. If a camper does not get into the same session a friend, he/she can transfer from one session to another, subject to availability, at no charge prior through mid-February, or for a $25 fee up until three weeks before the camp session begins.

Instructions for Completing the Cabin Request Form
The Cabin Request Form helps us place your child in a cabin. We guarantee placement of groups of two or three campers the same age or grade with mutual requests. We'll do our best to honor other requests. The only requests we guarantee are X lists Y, Y lists X ... or ... X lists Y & Z, Y lists X & Z, Z lists X & Y. No long chains! Large groups will be split up. Groups of four should plan on two groups of two; list the name of your paired friend on the first (guaranteed) line, and the other two paired-up names on the second (not guaranteed) line. If we can make it work, we will, but it's not guaranteed.
